A Few Weeks, In Which We Host Our First Visitors

We took a trip into the park, walked a good ways up to lonestar geyser. It rained a bit, but the hike was super nice. This picture is the Firehole River after the rain, and a dip in temperature.

This is a mineral deposit/spring on the Firehole near lonestar geyser.

These are Bison, Bison crossing the Madison.

The Opener

First cast of the season, first fish of the season, and first brown trout since we’ve been in Montana. Rachel and I had a nice salami-sandwich and red wine picnic on the banks of the Madison. Caught some fish, saw some beaver dams and the subsequent ponds. Saw a bald eagle on our drive home.
