Nina Nastasia — Brad Haunts a Party
This record from Nina Nastasia has been helping me stay warm these past few days. It was terribly hard to pick a song off this record, I’ve changed my selection three times while writing this in fact. Through the whole record she talks about self-isolation in a melancholy, defeated way that resonates pretty well with me this winter. I haven’t been fishing much, as it’d be dark by the time I got out of work and over to where I’d like to fish, so I’ve been trying to learn to just sit inside, read a bit, watch TV, trying to relax.
Anyway, get this record On Leaving as well as The Blackened Air. They’re both wonderful.
